Luxury Pool House Design by Adeas Interior Design
Inside a Bold Ohio Backyard Oasis
A late-summer look inside a Strongsville pool house, and what it takes to design a backyard you never want to leave.
Every August, people start talking about summer in the past tense. The displays turn to fall, the calendars fill up, and the season gets packed away before it is actually over.
We would like to make the case for the opposite. The water is still warm. The evenings are still long. And the backyard you are about to see was designed for exactly this stretch of summer, the slow, golden, unhurried part that is still ahead.
It is a pool house near Strongsville, Ohio, and it is one of our favorite examples of what outdoor living becomes when it is designed with intention instead of treated as an afterthought. If you have ever stood in your own backyard and felt it could be so much more, this one is worth a slow scroll.
This is not a place to change into dry clothes and move on. This is somewhere you want to stay.
An oasis, not an afterthought
Behind a quiet stone house, there is a pool house that refuses to be ordinary. Blush pink walls. Floors in a graphic black and white that march right out of the cabana and across the lawn as oversized pavers, so there is no real line between inside and out.
Why bold design belongs in a pool house
A pool house is one of the great invitations in design. It is the place to be a little braver than you would be in the living room, to use the color, layer the pattern, and let a space feel like a getaway instead of an extension of the everyday.
So that is what we did, and there is a method inside the boldness. The floor is dramatic, but it grounds all the softness around it. The pink is confident, but the natural stone and the green lawn keep it from ever feeling loud. The flamingos are pure joy, balanced by clean lines and real restraint everywhere else. In luxury pool house design, fearless only works when every daring choice is answered by one that keeps the whole space calm.
The real goal:
A pool house you can actually live in
A backyard oasis only earns its keep when it is as durable as it is beautiful.
The prettiest pool house in the world fails if you are afraid to walk into it in a wet swimsuit.
So we design for real life first. That means performance fabrics that shrug off sunscreen and water, surfaces made for spills and bare feet and a hundred cannonballs, and a layout that flows from pool to lounge to bar without a single awkward step. The result looks like a magazine and lives like a family home.
That balance, bold and genuinely livable, is the whole point.
So, what does it take to actually design a space like this?
Behind the finished photos are months of planning, sourcing, and coordination, from the first conversation about how a family wants to live outdoors to the flamingo floating in the pool on reveal day.
That is the way we work on every project. We handle the design, the trades, the ordering, and the details, so our clients get to skip the stress and keep the fun part. When the space is this considered, it does not just look good for a season. It holds up for years of them.
If these photos have you picturing your own backyard, let that be your sign.
The most beautiful outdoor spaces begin months before the first warm day, in a conversation about how you actually want to live out there. Start it now, and next summer you are the one watching the light go gold over your own pool.
We take on a limited number of projects each year so every one gets our full attention.
If a backyard like this is on your someday list, we would love to talk about making it real.
